10 Days and Counting

Out of pure boredom I decided to start my blog early and give everyone a little heads up of what I'm thinking about. I initially planned on start it the day before I leave but I'm impatient and Zac told me to start early.

As everyone knows (or should know) Australia has been hit with some flooding, as in some I mean a lot! To make matters worse on top of their endless rain they just got hit by a cyclone and have another one coming that is being called "the biggest to ever hit Queensland" great, just great. It is predicted to possibly hit Cairns, which would really put a damper on our orientation. If I recall correctly it should touch shore by Wednesday I think. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly and nothing terrible happens between now and next Thursday. I'll post and update when the time comes.

As for my nerves, I guess it really hasn't set in yet that I'm actually going. I've start packing, a very sorry attempt at it to say the least. I pretty much have shorts, t-shirts, swim suits, and some dress pants. I have intentions of wearing shorts there and my light jacket. Currently my luggage sits open in a heap on my floor, I'll get to it eventually.

I've already picked classes and am all registered I'll be taking: Corporate Finance, Money Banking and Finance, Public Economics, and Economic Growth and Sustainable Development to be quite frank I'm quite excited to be taking the last one. There classes are different than ours from what I've understood so far. Each class had a lecture and a tutorial, the tutorial being a smaller group and taught by a TA. I don't exactly know, once I've finally had class I'll write more about it.

I have intentions of trying to do this everyday, but I'll be more realistic and say I'll try to get on here once a week when I'm there.
